Rate Limit 60 req/s: Does It Allow Continuous 24h Usage?

Hello Zoom Developer Support Team,

I would like to clarify the sustained usage model for an endpoint that has a rate limit of 60 requests per second.

From a mathematical perspective, if we consider:

  • 60 requests/second × 86,400 seconds/day

  • This would result in a theoretical maximum of 5,184,000 requests per day.

However, I would like to confirm whether this interpretation is technically valid.

Specifically:

  1. Does the 60 req/sec limit allow sustained consumption over a 24-hour continuous period?

  2. Is this limit enforced as a hard per-second limit, or does it follow a sliding window or burst model?

  3. Are there additional constraints (per minute, per day, per account, or per app) that would restrict continuous usage at this rate?

Our goal is to properly dimension our processing architecture and avoid throttling or temporary suspension due to incorrect assumptions about sustained throughput.

Thank you in advance for your clarification.

Best regards,

Diogo Rodrigo
