We would like to request the ability to filter Zoom Video SDK’s IP whitelist by geographic region, specifically for the South America. Currently, Zoom provides a global list of IP addresses without regional segmentation, which creates challenges for our financial sector clients in South America.
Many of our clients are banks and financial institutions with strict security requirements. They need to minimize the number of whitelisted IPs for compliance and security purposes. Having to whitelist all global Zoom IPs unnecessarily expands their attack surface and complicates their security audits.
This feature would allow us to provide clients with only the IP ranges used in the South America region, significantly simplifying their whitelisting process while maintaining security standards. As confirmed in support ticket TS1676990, this capability isn’t currently available but would be extremely valuable for regulated industries like ours.
We kindly ask that this regional IP filtering capability be prioritized, as it would greatly benefit not just our organization but any Zoom customers working with security-conscious clients in specific geographic regions.
