Today I’ve noticed RTMS auto-start has stopped working for our app since few days ago. It had been working reliably before that, and we made no changes to our app, webhook endpoint or account settings in that time.
The thing I did around then was toggle the auto-start setting under Zoom Apps settings off and back on.
Environment
- Client ID:
Qa6hTcQCTOi5l2vnmqoHBA
What we observe
- Other webhooks for the same app still arrive normally on the same endpoint with valid signatures, including
meeting.startedandmeeting.ended. meeting.rtms_startedis not sent for these meetings, so RTMS isn’t being started at all.- Before this, the same setup reliably received
meeting.rtms_startedright aftermeeting.started. - Settings > Zoom Apps > Apps that access content in meetings got the app enabled.
What we’ve already tried
- Regenerated the Authorization URL and re-added the app for the host user
- Confirmed the RTMS entitlement is active
- Confirmed “Share realtime meeting content with apps” is enabled
- Confirmed auto-start for RTMS apps is enabled at the account level, with our app selected
- Enabled the new “Auto-start for Realtime Media Streams (RTMS) apps” section that recently appeared in the app’s Access tab in the Marketplace (screenshot below)
- Confirmed the RTMS scopes and subscriptions are still configured
Questions
- Was there a recent change to how RTMS auto-start is evaluated? For example, the new Access-tab setting, re-approval requirements, or a new minimum client version.
- Is there any other setting or backend flag needed for our app now?
- Could you help check any missing steps?
Thanks!
