RTMS entitlement, Developer Pack billing ownership, and Basic meeting hosts

Hi Zoom team,

We’re evaluating Zoom Realtime Media Streams (RTMS) for a multi-tenant SaaS integration and would like to confirm the current entitlement and billing model before purchasing Developer Pack credits.

In the current Zoom Developer pricing UI, we see:

  • RTMS Stream — €0.0092/min — “Available on paid plan only”
  • RTMS Transcription — €0.0184/min — “Available on paid plan only”

The Developer Pack card separately offers Pay as you go, €0 upfront, “Try 20 credits free,” and “Buy now.”

Could you please clarify:

  1. What exactly does “Available on paid plan only” mean for RTMS Stream?

    • A paid Zoom Workplace/Meetings plan such as Pro or Business?
    • A paid Developer Pack subscription?
    • Both?
  2. Can the “Try 20 credits free” Developer Pack trial credits be used for RTMS Stream, or is RTMS excluded from the trial tier?

  3. For a third-party multi-tenant SaaS app, who owns and pays for the Developer Pack credits?

    Example:

Company A hosts its own Zoom meeting and has authorized/installed our User-managed Marketplace app. Our SaaS backend receives the permitted RTMS media stream.

In that model, are RTMS credits consumed from:

    • the SaaS/app developer’s Developer Pack account,
    • Company A’s Zoom account,
    • the authorized participant/user’s account,
    • or another account?
  4. Can a Zoom Meetings Basic user/account participate in or host a meeting whose RTMS stream is consumed by a third-party Marketplace app when the app developer has the required paid Developer Pack entitlement?

  5. For REST/on-demand RTMS activation, is a dedicated app-associated participant that is invited to and joins another account’s meeting a supported model, assuming the documented invitee/join and host-approval requirements are satisfied?

Our immediate goal is a controlled sandbox certification. We want to understand the entitlement model before purchasing anything.

Thanks.
