Scheduler API and Scheduled Events versus Scheduled Meetings

As others have discussed in the forum, we are looking to build a custom UI to allow user’s to schedule a visit directly on our website. Based on what I’ve read, are these assumptions true?

  • You cannot create a Scheduler scheduled event via the API?
  • Events that are scheduled via the Scheduler do not show up in the Zoom user’s Zoom Calendar
  • Standard Meetings scheduled in Zoom show up in the user’s Zoom Calendar but do not appear in the Scheduler and do not affect the available slots in the Scheduler Booking page. (i.e. I have regular Zoom meeting scheduled for tomorrow at 10am, but the Scheduler will still show 10am as available).
  • Is the only way around this to have both the Scheduler and Zoom Calendar sync with an external calendar like Outlook, or would that not even work?

Thanks for any insight in this, I like the features of Scheduler, but if you can’t actually schedule an event via the API it may be a non-starter for us.
