I am working with our development team on two Zoom Apps that are published in the Zoom App Marketplace. They are under a different tenant than the one we would like for them to be published under.
Can we please validate the following?
Is it possible to migrate a PUBLISHED Zoom Marketplace App from one Zoom tenant to another without any breaking changes or requirement to have customers reauthorize the app (i.e., no client ID or client secret and/or secret token changes)?
Are there any previous examples of this being done successfully that can be shared with us?
Please let us know how we should proceed. Thank you!
I have the same “issue” as I run 4 seprate tennents.
To move yourself you would need to copy the marketplace app settings, there are api calls to read and write the marketplace settings for your tenant.
You would break and customers would need to re-auth to pick up new keys.
If you are just needing this for a one off, then the marketplace team can do this for you. I created an app on one tenant, but they needed it on another for ownership issues. The marketplace team did that for me in a couple of days. I think they would also allow you to keep your keys this way.
Would anyone happen to know if there is any difference between Zoom Support silently migrating a published marketplace app versus an unpublished app? Or does that not matter?
Hey @nigel.hughey@catalina.diaz , do you happen to have any insight on this phenomenon? @Daniel36 , have you opened up a developer support ticket about this?
Could you let us know how you were notified of this change and when? Thank you!
The case I opened was redirected to this forum. As far as changes, we weren’t necessarily notified about any particular change, we just happen to have 2 published marketplace apps in one tenant that we need to move to our main tenant where we host our marketplace apps, but without any breaking changes that would trigger reauthorization for our customers to use the app.
Thanks for the article resource! I would still like to know whether there is any difference between migrating a published Marketplace App versus migrating an unpublished Marketplace App. This will impact our decision to submit the test app we are looking to migrate versus getting it migrated without publishing it as unlisted. The goal was to migrate a test app to our other account to make sure there were no breaking changes, then do the actual app migrations once we confirmed it was safe to do so.
