Spotlight support for custom meeting UI

Description
In previous versions of the iOS SDK a host or co-host could spotlight a participant’s video when using the custom meeting UI. This functionality has been removed from the latest SDK without any replacement.

I know we have discussed this in the past, but I wanted to see if there are any plans to add this back to the SDK. It is sorely missed.

To Reproduce(If applicable)
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Call MobileRTCMeetingService.spotlightVideo on a user.
    Expected result: video is spotlighted.
    Actual result: video is not spotlighted.

Smartphone (please complete the following information):

  • OS: iOS

Additional context
It is understood that the spotlighting system has changed in the app to allow for multiple spotlights, but now the old spotlighting has been removed without a proper replacement.

This is on our longterm roadmap to add this feature back into custom UI. We do not yet have an ETA yet, however.
