Submission Blocked: Domain Validation for Internal App (Hosted on GitHub/Google)

Hello Marketplace Team,

I am attempting to submit a User-Managed app (“Scribe Pilot”) which is an internal CLI tool for compliance recording. Because this is an internal tool with no public marketing website, I am hosting my Privacy Policy and Support documentation on public GitHub Gists (or Google Docs).

The submission portal is requiring me to verify ownership of the root domain (github.com or google.com), which I cannot do. I have already ensured these domains are not present in the “Domain Allow List” or “OAuth Allow List” in the Technical/Surface settings, but the verification blocker persists on the final submission tab.

I am requesting a Manual Domain Validation so I can proceed with the submission. I can provide the specific Gist/Doc URLs via DM.

How To Reproduce

  • App Type: User-managed Meeting SDK App

  • Error Message: “Your Domain Addresses: github.com - All domains must be verified”

Steps:

  1. Go to the “App Listing” tab.

  2. Enter a public GitHub Gist URL into the “Privacy Policy URL” and “Support URL” fields.

  3. Go to the “App Submission” tab.

  4. The “Verify Domains” error appears listing the root domain, preventing submission.

Hi @vibhav - If this is an internal tool used only within your Zoom organization, you can use your Zoom app’s development credentials. These credentials are valid for anyone inside your Zoom organization (given that it’s used for testing/development)

If you plan to allow external users to access your Zoom app, then you can still request a manual app validation or you can also publish the content on a site related to your app, such as GitHub or Google Docs
