Unauthorized on Macbook but not on Windows

I tried to join my University Zoom lecture, but when I click “join” on my Macbook it says “unauthorized - sorry, your session has expired”. I was using my university Zoom account and my session had not expired. I went onto my Windows 10 PC and used the same Zoom login and the same “join” link and it worked immediately. Why would my account work on Windows but not on my Macbook?
