URL Schemes problem for Host to Start meeting

I am also facing a similar issue.

When attempting to join a Zoom Meeting using the URL Scheme with this format:
zoommtg://zoom.us/w/9629xxxxxxx?tk=YMT45xxxxxxx

If my Zoom Client is not running, opening this URL launches the Zoom Client and shows a sign-in option and a join by meeting ID option.
When I try opening this URL after I am signed in with the Zoom Client running in the background, nothing happens.

The link works fine if opened via a browser with the URL protocol https:// in place of zoommtg://

Is this a bug?
