I had a user with the username RECORDING_BOT attempt to join the Zoom session (with up to 10 retries).
However, I cannot see this user on the Session Dashboard.
Could you please help check if there was any issue when this user tried to join?

Hi @Khoi this user does not show up on my logs. If this user did not join the session, they wont show on the dashboard meeting analysis. Do you have any logs or errors from the recording bot device?
Thanks, Ticorrian.
I don’t have any logs because my user, “RECORDING_BOT”, joined using a headless browser (with Puppeteer) running in a Docker container.
Could you please check if the session below is the same?

Hi @Khoi

We still couldn’t find the corresponding user in the session. Could you please help verify whether the BOT user actually called the join
method?
Thanks
Vic
Hi Vic,
Thanks again for your help.
To clarify: Since the user did not appear in the session dashboard, we suspect the join may have silently failed. We’re trying to determine if Zoom servers received a join request at all.
Could you please help check whether there was any join attempt, even unsuccessful, from a client with the following details during the specified time window?
- Session:
Od7c4ekOT+i9VrtJUfvAHw==
- User ID included in the token:
recording_bot20250605182832620odG
- Approximate time of join attempt: June 05, 2025 from 09:28 to 09:30 UTC
Thanks again for your support!
Hi @anhtv
Od7c4ekOT+i9VrtJUfvAHw==
There is no user with this name- recording_bot20250605182832620odG.
Unfortunately, we don’t have any logs associated with this user, so we’re unable to confirm whether they attempted to join the session.
Thanks
Vic
Thanks, Vic.
Sorry to trouble you again — just to confirm, we used recording_bot20250605182832620odG
as the userId
when generating the Zoom token.
Could you help confirm if there were any join attempts to session Od7c4ekOT+i9VrtJUfvAHw==
between 09:28–09:30 UTC on June 5, 2025, from either:
- userId:
recording_bot20250605182832620odG
, or - userName:
RECORDING_BOT
?
If not, we’ll continue checking on our end.
Thanks again!
Thank you for your support.
However, I didn’t mean to check for the keyword recording_bot20250605182832620odG
. Could you kindly help me recheck the following?
Could you please confirm if there were any join attempts to the session Od7c4ekOT+i9VrtJUfvAHw== between 09:28–09:30 UTC on June 5, 2025, from either of the following:
- userId: recording_bot20250605182832620odG
- userName:
RECORDING_BOT
Thanks again!
Hi @anhtv
- userId: recording_bot20250605182832620odG
I’m not sure whether this userId belongs to your application, since the user IDs we provide are purely numeric.
- userName:
RECORDING_BOT
Also, there are indeed no logs or join records related to a RECORDING_BOT
.
Thanks
Vic
Hi Vic,
Sorry to trouble you again.
Could you please let me know if it’s possible for Zoom to verify whether init()
was executed successfully, especially in cases where join()
has not been called yet? Or is it that logs during the init()
process are only stored on the client side and not accessible to Zoom?
If it is possible to check on your end, please let me know what kind of information I need to provide (e.g., dependentAssets, timestamp, etc.) to assist with the investigation.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Best regards,
Anh
Hi @anhtv
if it’s possible for Zoom to verify whether
init()
was executed successfully,
No.
If the session info cannot be retrieved, we won’t report logs, so those logs are unavailable to us. Any errors that occur before joining the session will be returned as exceptions — for example, the init
method will return a rejected Promise. You can check the return values of these methods to determine whether they executed successfully.
Thanks
Vic
Could you check if the user RECORDING_BOT
attempted to join either of the following sessions around 2025/05/08 10:35 UTC ?

Hi @anhtv

Sorry, the two sessions were over a month ago, so we no longer have enough detailed logs available to investigate further.
Thanks

Hi @Thong1
Sorry, as the user name is considered customer PII, we are unable to search for it in our system.
Thanks
