Why my android sdk inform me that "Version of ZoomSDK is too low!
",and does the SDK Key and SDK Secret relatives with the sdk version?
v4.4.55130.0712,and our project target sdk version is 28,so we can’t use the latest version, how can we solve this problem
Hi @s1356891,
It seems like you are using a deprecated SDK. There was a system-wide account enablement of GCM encryption for real-time content and only the latest version of SDK could support GCM. Please upgrade your SDK to the latest version.
Thanks!
Thank you! One more question: We will use the latest version SDK this time. And we want to know that if Zoom will notice us by send us an email or some way else before deprecate SDK ? And how much time will we have to upgrade our SDK since you Zoom notice us?
Hi @s1356891,
Thanks for the reply. Yes, we do notify everyone regarding the SDK deprecation and we will notify everyone if we are deprecating any SDKs and provide enough time to upgrade as well. We deprecated the previous SDKs due to the GCM encryption that was enabled on 05/30, we have released the SDK version that supports GCM encryption in April, and we have announced this in the following way:
- The developer advocate team has sent out multiple emails regarding this in April and May
- We have an announcement on Github repo: https://github.com/zoom/zoom-sdk-android#rotating_light-announcement-rotating_light
- SDK documentation: https://marketplace.zoom.us/docs/guides
- Devforum banner and the new release section
- Developer news letter:https://marketplace.zoom.us/docs/guides/stay-up-to-date/developer-newsletter
Please follow the above resources and you should be able to get the notice about any changes in the future ahead of time.
Thanks!
