I hope this message finds you well. Currently, our Zoom account holds 10 user licenses [managed under Admin/Owner account] and with each license, we are able to operate 2 meetings as per our plan. We have developed an app under the User-Managed App model within our Zoom Marketplace Account. However, after thorough discussions with team, we have determined that the app should be created as an Admin-Managed App, since all 10 users belong to the same organization and all are associated to one Admin account. now we want to change our previously active User-Managed App to an Admin-Managed App.
Additionally, please give feedback if scopes can be included within the Admin-Managed App model ?
The required Scopes are :
meeting:write – View and manage your meetings
recording:read – View your recordings
user_zak:read – View user’s ZAK token
Furthermore, we would like to understand if there will be any downtime or service interruptions during this transition. Since this change will directly impact our project, it is crucial for us to ensure there will be no disruptions, as our users depend on the ability to initiate meetings without issue.
To access Admin scopes, you will need to create a new admin-level app. Currently, there is no way to switch an existing user-level app to an admin-level app once it has been published (or vice-versa).
Alternatively, you can unpublish your current app and resubmit it with the necessary changes. However, please note that if you choose this option, your app will still need to go through both Functional and Security reviews. This option would at least allow you to keep most of the metadata you already filled in. You can read more about how to unpublish your app here: Removing and Unpublishing Apps - Zoom Developers.
When you create your new admin-level app, you will see the available admin-level scopes. The scopes you mentioned are accessible for admin-level apps. Please refer to the example below:
Dear team thank you for your support
I had created new admin managed general app and while publishing zoom team has given a message regarding authorizing my app, but only admins that are added under the license can add app. How zoom team can add my app then,
though, if they want to authorize the app i have to add the given email to my owner zoom account and they have to accept the invitation and then they can add the app
dear developers please suggest is this the right way, could you please help resolving this
