Webhook bypasses manual approval

Hi there,

We use Hubspot as our CRM. When somebody fills out a certain form, it triggers a Zoom webhook (https://zoom.us/hubspot/webhook?webinar_id=96263057434) that enrolls the contact into the webinar. We want to manually approve them, and the settings have been set up for that on the Zoom side. Despite this, they get automatically approved and get sent the confirmation email right away. This is a major no-no for us.

Everything goes as planned if we use the Zoom form to subscribe. The problem only arises when we use the webhook.

Is this normal behavior ? Are there maybe params that we can add to the webhook to force it to acknowledge the necessity for manual approval ?

Thank you !

Hey @kevin.gagnon,

When you say this:

When somebody fills out a certain form, it triggers a Zoom webhook (https://zoom.us/hubspot/webhook?webinar_id=96263057434) that enrolls the contact into the webinar.

Do you mean that you’re ingesting the Zoom webhook to enroll a contact? To clarify, our webhooks are triggered by Zoom events and do not take any action. Are you using the payload you receive from our Webhooks to take some action in Hubspot possibly?

Any additional details you might be able to add would be helpful for me to better understand. Thanks!
