Hi,
We have a Zoom App Submission with OAuth that is under review by Zoom.
Using App Credentials for “Development”, it works.
However, for “Production”, we are getting Invalid redirect: https://<...>/zoom-redirect (4,700)
.
Do you know what we might be missing?
Here are the things that we’ve checked:
- The “Redirect URL for OAuth” is correct.
- The URL is included in “Add Allow List”.
- We clicked “Generate” for Authorization URL.
- The state is purely alphanumeric. No symbols.
We also tried using “Development App Credentials” for the Zoom review.
It works for us, but it did not work for the reviewer.
We’re guessing that we need to use “Production App Credentials” for the actual Zoom review.
Hello @erik.s.affinity
I apologize for the late response here.
Can you share with me the name of the app to help further investigate this issue?
Best,
Yoon
Hi @yoon.conner I work with @erik.s.affinity. The name of the app is “Affinity Notetaker”.
Hello @kunal.bhat
I have noticed that the app is currently undergoing the review process for an update, which may include the addition of new scopes.
To test the newly added scope, we will need to authorize the app’s development credentials, as this feature is not yet available in the production credentials.
It seems that the redirect URLs for both development and production are the same, which could be causing the issue. To resolve this, you will need to provide a separate redirect URL for development and ensure that it is functional.
For further information on the app update process, you can refer to the following link: Updating an App
Once the issue is resolved, you can directly communicate with the reviewer by commenting on the notes.
Best regards,
Yoon
Hi @yoon.conner,
To test the newly added scope, we will need to authorize the app’s development credentials, as this feature is not yet available in the production credentials.
If you need to authorize the app’s development credentials, does this mean that we need to use the development credentials for the review?

Thank you for pointing this out! I’ll make the necessary adjustments.
To resolve this, you will need to provide a separate redirect URL for development and ensure that it is functional.
If we need to provide a separate redirect URL for development, does this mean that you need access to the web app that uses development credentials? Would you also need access to the web app that uses production credentials?
I’d like to confirm if this is the setup for the review:
- Have a web app that uses development credentials, which should be accessible to the Zoom reviewer.
- Have another web app that uses production credentials, which should also be accessible to the Zoom reviewer.
Also, as a small request: in case the next review does not succeed again, could you please assist us with debugging? For the last review, the feature worked for us with development credentials but not for the Zoom reviewer.
@erik.s.affinity
The reviewer will need access to the web app that authorizes the development credentials to test the new scopes. Upon approval, that scope will be available in Prod which users will need to re-authorize your app to utilize it.
I can offer a link to meet with you on the next review if it does not go through.
Best,
