Admin Permissions

Hello, we have an app in the Marketplace currently. If a user is on a corporate zoom account, it doesn’t let them install it until their admin approves it. There is nothing we can do about this, correct?

I’m asking because we have a customer who says that they can’t allow it and that most other zoom apps only require “user control” and not “admin control”. I’m not quite sure what they mean.

Thanks.

Hi @neal ,

Correct – admin will need to approve the app installation.

Does your app scope require admin read/write access?

Gianni

Hi, I don’t think so? When I view the scopes of our app in the dev portal:

View your meetings/meeting:read
View your user information/user:read

Seems ok?

Hi @neal,

You are correct - those are not admin scopes. Can you clarify with your customer what is informing the belief that your app requires “admin control” given those scopes?

Thanks,
Gianni
