Why - "You cannot authorize the app"

Description
We do not have any admin approvals turned on yet some users on our account are asked “You cannot authorize the app” … “An account admin is required to install this type of app. Please contact your account admin or IT administrator to install this app.”

The user is question has “basic” account - not sure if that makes a difference

How To Reproduce (If applicable)
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  • Log into Weconvene
  • Goto integration tab
  • Select Enable
  • Get the error above.

We dont have any admin approval process activated on our account. Not sure why the message is popping up. If I log in as a user with admin access it all works.

Since the Weconvene app is an Account Level app, it can only be installed by a Zoom admin on your account.

Hi @tommy - Thank you for your response.

Does your response mean that these settings are ignored ?

This message seems to imply that our users should be able to install “any marketplace listed app”?

TBH, we never had issues with pre-approval / authorization… until now - has ny of this changed recently?

Hey @mike2,

With those settings, your users can install any user level app.

For installing apps that access account wide scopes, you will need a Zoom admin to install it.
