Audio not working on Safari when user joining as attendee before host gives permissions

Сannot hear the audio when joining a webinar on Safari as an attendee. Works only for panelist.

Audio doesn’t work for attendee

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Join a webinar on Safari as an attendee.
  2. Audio doesn’t work.

  • Device: Desktop
  • OS: macOs
  • Browser: Safari
  • Browser Version 14.0.1

Additional context
It works if your role is a panelist or if the host gives permissions to talk.

Thank you for reaching out to the Zoom Developer Forum. I was able to reproduce this issue as well and have since submitted a ticket with our engineering team. I’ll let you know what I hear.

Also, we’ve been told it will be fixed by the end of this month.
