Audio sync issues in Mac OS Version 5.6.4 (765)

In the latest version of the MacOS desktop client, there’s a noticeable and varying audio sync issue from each participant. This causes unpredictable audio/visual delay issues in trying to sync audio & video captured for broadcast or streaming.

To Reproduce(If applicable)
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Any meeting with three or more participants, two participants joining via different network connections

Device (please complete the following information):

  • Device: MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019) 2.4 GHz 8-core Intel Core i9; 64 GB 2667 MHz DDR4; AMD Radeon Pro 5600M 8GB Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB

  • OS: macOS Catalina 10.15.7

Additional context
This appears to be a different behavior from versions before the “Immersive” mode. In previous versions all participants seemed to have the same audio delay as compared to their video.
