How does zoom determine missed calls?

I’m trying to create a report using Zoom’s data collected through API. The data that I collected shows that most of the inbound calls were not answered but when I check on the Built-in reports in Zoom they show that only a few calls were missed. How does zoom determine if a call was missed or answered?
