I am developing a platform where we want to use live transcription and translation ot provide captions for the users, but I contacted the sales team quite a while back and haven’t heard anything back.
I also wanted to double-check the pricing. The docs say transcription is billed at $0.01/min, and translation either costs an additional $0.01/min (as I understand it). How should this be interpreted?
Are these charges per participant, or per meeting? And for translation, I am guessing it is billed per language?
For example:
If we run a 60-minute session with 100 participants and provide captions plus translation into two languages, what would the total cost be?
Would it be:
Transcription: 60 min × $0.01 = $0.60
Translation: 60 min × $0.01 × 2 languages = $1.20
Total: $1.80
It varies depending on how big a business or opportunity you are.
As it has been confirmed your assumptions are correct, I would build on that. Once the product is completed, it is up to the user to pay for the usage?
Thanks again for your reply. My issue is that I can’t develop or test the next parts of the application without access to the live captioning. So I am currently stuck in limbo until I hear back from them.
Hey @ekaansh.zoom, just pinging to say that I still haven’t received any response from the sales team about the live transcription and translation license. I get that it’s Christmas holidays right now, but it’s been over a month since I filled out the form, and I haven’t gotten anything.
I just want to hear if I might have missed something, or if wait times are usually this long.
Thanks
Sorry about the long wait, can you DM me your Video SDK account details and I can check internally. I would need some time as folks would be out of office for the new year.
