When using a professional Unified Communications headset and with many other headsets, there are 3 places where a user can be muted:
- in the Zoom app
- at the OS level
- on the headset itself
Occasionally leading to confusion when an attendee/speaker attempts to speak as the Zoom client only seems to know about its own mute status.
Suggestion:
- query the headset and OS mute status and surface it in the UI, allowing a user to know that he/she is still muted;
- optionally integrate with the leading UC vendors so that the mute button on the headset will activate Zoom’s mute function;
