Hi Zoom team,
I am unable to complete domain validation using any of the self-serve options, and I would like to request manual verification as described in the Domain Validation Explanation post.
App details
- App name: Layla
- App type: User-managed OAuth app (General app), Production
- Client ID: uzawrD5ET7eZT8L… (full value available by DM)
- Domain to verify: layla.marketing
- All app URLs are on the www host: Privacy Policy سياسة الخصوصية — Layla Terms of Use شروط الاستخدام — Layla Support الدعم الفني — Layla Documentation دليل الاستخدام — Layla OAuth Redirect ليلى — نظامُ إدارة شركات التسويق Deauthorization https://www.layla.marketing/api/zoom/deauthorize
- DNS is managed by me at Namecheap. I control the domain fully.
What happens
-
Publish → Verify Domains → Verify → “Add TXT Record to your domain”.
-
The dialog shows the value to add as:
zoom-domain-verification=with NOTHING after the equals sign. No token is generated.
-
A red “Bad Request” toast appears on the page at the same moment the dialog opens.
-
I added the record exactly as shown. It is live and publicly resolvable:
$ dig +short TXT layla.marketing"zoom-domain-verification=" -
Clicking “Verify domain” returns: “Verification attempt failed. Please try again.”
What I have already ruled out
- Not a browser or session problem: reproduced in a clean Incognito window with no extensions.
- Not a DNS propagation problem: the record resolves from Google DNS (8.8.8.8), and the value it serves is exactly the (empty) value Zoom gave.
- The other two self-serve methods are not usable either, because the token itself is never generated.
The root issue therefore looks server-side: the verification token is not being issued for this app, which is why every method fails. Several other developers have reported the identical blank “zoom-domain-verification=” value recently.
Could you please verify layla.marketing manually, or issue a working verification token? Happy to provide the full Client ID or anything else by DM.
Thank you.
