Hi @joe.smithinc12123
Thanks for tagging me!
Some of the endpoints are only accessible using Oauth user level app types.
So it would be expected that you do not see the scopes if your app is account level
@elisa.zoom
Hey thanks for the answer!
Just so i understand 100%, an admin scope of team_chat:delete:channels:admin
cannot use the delete channel endpoint but the user scope of team_chat:delete:channel
can? Because this is how it works right now.
In my opinion its a bit misleading and would love to see it written that admin scope cant “overpower” regular scopes.
thanks.
Hey @joe.smithinc12123
Correct, I will reach out to our PM for these endpoints just to confirm this information.
In our Docs, the only granular scope available for this endpoint is team_chat:delete:channel which means only user level apps can use it. But as you mentioned, I can see the team_chat:delete:channels scope present in my S2S app. So this is what I am trying to investigate now.
@elisa.zoom
Sounds great, please let me know when you have anything new or if i can help with anything, Thanks!
Thanks @joe.smithinc12123
I will keep you posted
Hey @joe.smithinc12123
I talked to our Engineering team and I was able to understand that our endpoints were split up into account and user level
So if you take a look at our docs, there is a Chat channels set of endpoints for User level apps and a different one Chat Channels (Account-level)
I hope this helps clarifying this issue
This what i needed, thank you very much @elisa.zoom for all your help!
Thank you for your patience !!! It was my bad on not identifying those endpoints earlier in our conversation, but now we both know!
