RTMS Account Access - How To Get Started

@elisa.zoom Please enable RTMS on this account.

Hi @Hemanth1 and @Hemanth2 are you in the same account?
I sent you a DM @Umesh_Subba

Enablement.

Looking forward to build a real-time AI prompter for lecturers.
Filled out an interest form and now waiting for RTMS access. Cheers!

Please could you enable on our account. I built a demo app but I get error 13262 when triggering RTMS via REST API. I did not realize until now it needed enabling on our account.

thank you

Can you also help enable on my personal account (ziyadmir@gmail.com) so I can test some other functionality/options out?

Hi Zoom staff,

I’ve sent an enquiry for RTMS via the form, could you please let me know if you can enable RTMS on my account or if you need more info? We’ve already built out most of our app and just waiting for RTMS access. Thanks!

Thank you, Jen!

I can now see the RTMS scopes and webhook events in the configuration of my user-managed app,
but I can’t see it under “Choose an app to auto-start”
The app is in Production/Beta Test, and I added it via “Add app now” in the “Add your app” section of the config

Configure scopes:
meeting:read:meeting_audio
meeting:read:meeting_transcript
meeting:read:meeting_video
meeting:read:meeting
rtms:read:rtms_started
rtms:read:rtms_stopped

Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance

Hi @DenisM -

Thanks for confirming those details. Since you’re already seeing the RTMS scopes and webhook events in your user‑managed app configuration, it sounds like RTMS is successfully enabled for your account - great!

A few things that can still cause the app not to appear under “Choose an app to auto‑start”:

  1. Reinstall the app after adding RTMS scopes.
If you added the RTMS scopes after the app was already installed, you’ll need to remove and then re‑add it (Add Your App/Add app now). The auto‑start list doesn’t always refresh automatically when scopes are updated.
  2. Make sure “Share realtime meeting content with apps” is enabled in your Zoom web portal settings under Settings → Zoom Apps. If that’s off, the app won’t show up in the auto‑start list even with the correct scopes. (I think it may be this one for you)
  3. Confirm you’re checking from the same user account that installed the app. The auto‑start selector only lists apps installed for that specific user, not apps installed by another admin or at the account level.

If you’ve confirmed all three and it’s still not appearing, try uninstalling and reinstalling once more after verifying the setting above, developers have reported that step usually brings the app into view.

Let me know if it still doesn’t show after that, and we can dig further into account‑specific settings.

Hello good afternoon enablement team, I’m creating an zoom app for internal usage for taking notes and summarizationI I would like to have access to RTMS could you help me with that?

Hi @JenBrissman ,

Thanks for prompt reply!

”Share realtime meeting content with apps” is ON

Regarding “Confirm you’re checking from the same user account that installed the app,” I am the only user on this account and thus the admin/owner

However, this part is interesting: “The auto-start selector only lists apps installed for that specific user”

Aren’t Account Settings / Account Management applied account-wide?

Anyway, I am the only user for now, and I have removed and then re-added the app and I still can’t see it under “Choose an app to auto‑start“

Hi @JenBrissman thank you for enabling RTMS, we have started to work on it but I have this question: If we create an app that uses RTMS for audio/video/transcript processing, will that app be able to be shared with other Zoom users? We are building an app to be sold later, so it’ll need to work on other people’s Zoom accounts when they make calls. Thanks for your help!
