Hi @JenBrissman
could you please take a look at my reply above?
thank you,
Denis
Hi @BrianCassingena - Yes, you can absolutely build and distribute an app that uses RTMS for audio, video, or transcript processing. The key is how you publish and authorize it.
If you want your app to work across multiple Zoom accounts, you’ll need to publish it on the Zoom App Marketplace. That way, other users or organizations can install it and grant the necessary OAuth permissions for your app to access their real-time media streams. Each account that installs your app will go through the standard authorization flow, ensuring that your app only processes data for meetings it’s been explicitly authorized for.
When preparing for distribution or sale, check that your implementation aligns with the Marketplace publishing and compliance requirements. That includes proper handling of user consent, data privacy, and any applicable scopes.
Basically, once your app is published and authorized by other accounts, it can process their RTMS data just as it does for your own account.
Hi @DenisM - Thanks for confirming those details. It sounds like the app is installed correctly for your user, but its visibility under “Choose an app to auto‑start” depends on where it has been authorized.
This is admittedly kind of confusing so let me try to help clarify:
There are two different Zoom Apps settings pages, which can sometimes cause confusion:
If your app was installed only for your user (via Add your app → Add app now), it will appear under User Settings → Zoom Apps, not under the account‑level page. The auto‑start list only displays apps that are installed for the same level (user, group, or account) that you are viewing.
To make your app appear in Account Settings → Zoom Apps → Choose an app to auto‑start, you will need to install it for the entire account. You can do this by:
This installs the app for all users on the account, which enables it to appear at the account level. Even if you are the only user, Zoom still differentiates between “installed for me” and “installed for the account.”
If you are checking under User Settings → Zoom Apps, you can also visit this link directly: https://zoom.us/account/setting?&tab=zoomapps.
Once the app is installed for all users or confirmed under the correct settings page, it should appear in the auto‑start dropdown as expected.
Once you’ve done that, refresh the page or sign out/in again — the app should now appear in the auto‑start dropdown.

Hi @JenBrissman. Enable RTMS on account please.
Use case: AI meeting notetaker. We need per-participant audio streams for accurate speaker identification in multi-person client meetings. We have the integration built and ready to test.
Enablement:
Can someone help us with activating RTMS to our organization? I have already filled the RTMS form.
We are building a app which will access the raw audio of the participants in a meeting and generates transcription in multiple languages.
We are also facing issues in accessing our beta app testing on guest mode even after the option is enabled in the marketplace app settings.
Thanks!
Hi @Sangsoo - you have been enabled with a free trial of RTMS. Check your email for more details. ![]()
Hi @Jaswanth - Please let me know if I am correct to assume your message here is associated with the request by Aamir at Teclever. If so, I have enabled that account with a free trial of RTMS. Check your email for more details. Thanks!
Yes, @JenBrissman ! You are right.
Thanks you very much!
Hi
Can you please confirm RTMS is still enabled on my account? For some reason we stopped receiving RTMS start/stop meeting events on our test webhook endpoint
Hi @Dmitry
I can take a look for you. was RTMS enabled to the same account that you use here in the DevForum?
Hi Elisa

I re enabled RTMS in your account. Can you please check and confirm
Thanks Elisa, it is working again!
The only thing that was different on my end is I added meeting:read:meeting_transcript scope - was it related?
