Hello, I’m just a student trying to create an app for a small church group for a simple booking function. Creating zoom meetings automatically especially recurring meetings is very important to my apps convenience. However I have read that in order to call API to zoom, I have to publish my app. But i do not have any of the requirements in the Technical Design part. I do not collect any data or whatsoever, i just wanted to create meetings automatically. Is this possible?
Hi Daniel,
If want your app to automatically set up Zoom meetings for your church group’s booking system, you’ll need to put your app on the Zoom Marketplace first.
It’s basically Zoom’s way of making sure everything’s legit when your app creates meetings for different users. Not a huge deal, but definitely a required step if you want those meetings to show up under people’s actual Zoom accounts.
Thanks for the confirmation, but they are asking for things that i don’t even understand and I cant provide. It’s like they are asking things from big companies that have entire IT departments. Will I be able to publish my app as a solo developer?
+1 here, I just want to use simple API hooks for my private zoom account to create scheduled meetings. I really do not get why I need to publish an APP to the marketplace.
We can publish it as unlisted so it wont be publicly in the app store. However we still need need to go through review to make sure our app is legit. What I’m wondering is that can solo developers like us pass the review.
