We’re experiencing a recurring issue with the Acuity Scheduling → Zoom integration.
Certain meetings are either not being updated after a reschedule in Acuity, or not being created at all in the Zoom calendar.
The issue persists even after:
-
Reintegrating Acuity and Zoom,
-
Signing out/in again from both platforms, and
-
Testing multiple appointment types and users.
Observed Behavior
-
Rescheduled appointments
-
When an appointment is moved to a new time in Acuity, the linked Zoom meeting remains at the old time.
-
It appears that Zoom is not receiving or processing the update webhook correctly.
-
-
New appointments
- In several cases, newly created Acuity appointments never generate a corresponding meeting in Zoom Calendar at all, even though they display a Zoom Meeting ID inside Acuity.
-
Webhook delivery
-
Acuity’s internal “Changes & Communication” log shows no failed deliveries or errors.
-
This suggests that the webhook is being sent, but possibly not accepted or applied by Zoom’s API.
-
Environment
-
Acuity Scheduling integration (native Zoom integration, not a custom app)
-
Zoom Calendar and Meetings
-
Behavior observed consistently across multiple teacher accounts
-
No user-side API changes or webhook modifications have been made
Expected Behavior
-
When an appointment is rescheduled in Acuity, the corresponding Zoom meeting should update automatically.
-
When a new appointment is created, a new Zoom meeting should be created and reflected in the connected Zoom Calendar.
Additional Notes
-
Acuity’s Product Specialist team is already investigating on their end and has confirmed the issue appears on the webhook transmission or processing layer.
-
We’re coordinating findings between both sides to determine if the issue lies in Zoom’s webhook endpoint handling or event update logic for meetings that reuse existing IDs.
-
The issue impacts multiple users and time zones (Europe/Brussels).
Request
Could your team please:
-
Verify whether Zoom’s webhook/API logs show any dropped or unprocessed update events for Acuity integrations.
-
Confirm if there are any known issues with reused meeting IDs or update webhooks from third-party scheduling systems (like Acuity Scheduling).
Thank you very much for your help. This issue is significantly impacting live class scheduling for our organization.
