Hi @Scott_Firestone. Any update on the ETA for the windows zoom room version that supports ZR-CSAPI.? We have fleet of old CISCO codecs we are waiting to throw in the Bin in anticipation of this arrival :smile:

January 27 is the planned release date for the Mac + Windows Zoom Room; both will have the ZR-CSAPI.

@Scott_Firestone, Fantastic news! This will enable us to retrofit all our existing video codecs / Av control systems in our lecture theatres with minimal disruption

The .doc file in the package describes the updates. There are two significant pending bugs. We are still planning to go GA on January 27th.

Dear Scott,

Iā€™ve tried to install Beta 15/16 on Windows 10 and has some problems.
The installer start to install and closes without any errors or messages. I tried it several times, after reboot, on several computers and there is no result.
The facts are:

  1. First, Iā€™ve installed on my test computer and on our room intel nuc ZR@Beta15. It works but I have a issue with Camera Sharing (in official ZRC I canā€™t choose any camera to share).
  2. So I tried to install Beta 16 on roomsā€™ intel nuc. The installers closes without any messages.Itā€™s closing on ā€œCollecting necessary information ā€¦ā€ stage.
  3. I tried to reinstall Beta 15 - the same
  4. I deleted Beta 15 on my test laptop - and try to reinstall betas 14/15/16- all the same. Closes without any messages.
  5. for check my windows installer, I downloaded Putty.msi and it installed correctly.

Now I have beta 15 on nuc, and no ZR Beta on my test laptop. Official ZoomRoom.exe from zoom.us I can install, so the problem with beta
So, where is can be problem?

Try going to Windows uninstall applications and then uninstall Zoom Room and Zoom Room Installer. Then try the .msi file again.

When I wrote post, I uninstall ZoomRoom at Start/ZoomRoom/Uninstall ZoomRoom, and donā€™t go to windows uninstall.
I found there 3 ZoomRoom Installers, uninstal all of them and It works!

Is there any news about official release or new beta with working AirPlay on WinPC?
Iā€™m actually need only AirPlay for finally launch meeting room.

The Zoom Room v 4.3.0 was released on Thursday, with the ZR-CSAPI:

Bugs Fixed from beta 16:

  • Airplay issues have been resolved
  • Added new command to get number of screens of Zoom Room: ā€œzStatus NumberOfScreensā€
  • ā€œzStatus Sharingā€'s ā€œisDirectPresentationConnectedā€ field is now correct

The ZR-CSAPI is included with the latest shipping Zoom Room; there is no beta build. You can get the latest Zoom Room installer from the Zoom download center.

The 1.1 CLI documentation is up to date.

Yes, the ZR-CSAPI ships with the Windows Zoom Room, and has the same feature set as on the Mac.

I am hearing various info on the future of ZR-CSAPI. I figured it was best to get the info from Zoom direct.

Is ZR-CSAPI being updated anymore?
Will ZR-CSAPI be deprecated soon?
