Assistance Required for Zoom/Panopto Integration Issue: Dual Speaker Views

Zoom Support suggest that we seek assistance regarding an issue we have encountered with exporting Zoom cloud recordings using Panopto

Typically, the primary video displays a single speaker view. However, we have noticed that recent primary video exports from Panopto are showing dual speaker views.

We have not made any changes to the Zoom video export settings, and we are uncertain why this change has occurred. Could you provide any insights into why this might be happening and any suggestions on how to revert to the single speaker view?

As a temporary solution, I have tried a few workarounds that achieve a single view but require additional steps:

Recording to the Cloud (Panopto): During the meeting, select the option to “Hide non-participants’ view.” Have the person not speaking turn off their camera. This ensures that only the active speaker is recorded.

Recording Locally: Save the recording locally as an MP4 file (also includes the m4a file). This method provides a single speaker view even if both cameras are on.

Could you confirm if these workarounds are appropriate or suggest a more efficient method to ensure that Panopto exports maintain the single speaker view as done in the past?

Your assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.
