Delete webinar via API does not send out Webinar cancellation message

Hello @will.zoom ,
although this is a very old thread, we’re still having the same issue - when deleting a webinar via the Zoom REST API, the registrants are not getting any notifications about the cancelled webinar.

In the API call we are using the parameter “cancel_webinar_reminder” set to TRUE: Zoom Meeting API

In addition to that, we globally set the setting “Notify host and participants when the meeting is cancelled” to “Active”, as suggested in this post: Meeting Cancelled Notification - Zoom Community

Unfortunately both settings are getting ignored, so the registrants of the deleted webinar do not get any notification about it.

Do you have any update for us concerning the fix you were writing about in September 2020? It would be very important for our workflow to get these notifications sent out.
