Help resolve my issue

Good morning,
I teach kindergarten and parents /students are having a tough time with unmuting themselves. I just saw that I can enable ask consent to unmute from parents. I have set up my recurring meetings with the allow me permission to unmute. However, I played with the setting to see if it works and only worked ask some the permission and the other one’s I still have to ask them to unmute. This is super frustrating for the younger students. I could use some help in resolving this problem.

Thank you. I followed the steps, but he still only ask some parents the permission option and everybody else I still have to ask students to unmute once they have been muted
