Join Meeting URL - Cannot join meeting with [un] parameter

Hi Zoom;

We are using join URL with un for participant to join meeting via Web client.

Example: https://zoom.us/wc/{{ meetindID }}/join?prefer=1&un={{ base64Encoded Name }}

But when participant click URL, Zoom still ask Name and there is reCAPTCHA.

We dont know what’s wrong with URL scheme.
What we need to do to skip the name declaration and reCAPTCHA steps

Thanks and Best Regards.

I would like to echo this problem, we’re also experiencing this issue on our platform.

The url we are going by is:

https://zoom.us/wc/join/${id}?prefer=1&un=${base64Username}&pwd={meetingPassword}

Hey @bambasolutions19, @anhnt,

Looks like that url no longer works if you are not logged in to Zoom. If the user is logged into Zoom.us it should work.

Thanks,
Tommy

@tommy Unfortunately you can see that even when I am logged in, I am still blocked by a user-name screen, even through it automatically fills the field with my username. Can’t this feature be fixed to automatically inject the name as before?

Hey @bambasolutions19,

Instead of using the Zoom Web Client for this custom implementation, have you considered using the Web SDK? You can pass people into meetings without them having to set their username in the UI.

Thanks,
Tommy

Hi @tommy, I tried that but had a rough time integrating the client. I’m using Vue.js/Nuxt and whenever I load the SDK, it takes over the entire screen. Is there anything I can do with it?

Hey @bambasolutions19,

Currently the Web SDK does take over the entire screen. You could try re sizing with CSS, but it is not very customizable yet. We are working on a more customizable Web SDK in the future.

Thanks,
Tommy
