Missing incoming video and audio

Description
We have a deployed app with the Meeting SDK integrated. iOS works great, and most Androids, but certain users – usually on older Androids – report troubles.

The user can join the meeting, but see a black screen and hear nothing.

Outgoing video works correctly – our staff member on the other side of the call can see the user.

Which Android Meeting SDK version?

To Reproduce(If applicable)
We have not been able to reproduce the issue in development or with any of our test devices.

Smartphone (please complete the following information):
This has been reported on a variety of older Android phones. One example is LG L322DL

Some more phone info from reporting users:

  • Galaxy A21 (Straight Talk for data)
  • Galaxy S20 (on WiFi)
  • API 28 (Android 9) - Wiko phone model U307AS

Sorry to hear you’re running into issues on some devices. I noticed you’re using an older version of the SDK. Can you please try updating to the latest version of the SDK and see if this issue is still present?
