Waiting Room for PMI meetings

Description
I’ve used the in_meeting > waiting_room property to toggle the waiting room for scheduled meetings, however, this does not seem to apply to meetings using the PMI.

In fact, when I go directly to the Zoom web dashboard, I need to edit the waiting room setting directly in the PMI meeting (https://zoom.us/user/<USER_ID>/meeting//edit) which is different to the general user settings.

To confirm, if I want to update the waiting room for both PMI and non-PMI meetings I must:

  • update the general in_meeting > waiting_room setting
  • update the PMI meeting > waiting_room setting

If not, is there a field in the zoom-api/users/usersettingsupdate that I can use to toggle the PMI waiting room setting?

Thanks for reaching out about this, and good question.

Your understanding is correct—there’s not a PMI specific waiting room setting under the User Settings API endpoint. However, your PMI settings can be adjusted directly from the UI, or by using our Update Meeting endpoint and passing your PMI Meeting ID.
