https://marketplace.zoom.us/docs/sdk/native-sdks/web#browser-support specifically says that Web SDK will allow webinars to use browser audio. And this worked on recent WebSDK releases.
- Joining computer audio on Firefox and Safari is only available for webinar attendees. Meeting participants and webinar hosts and panelists can also join computer audio on Firefox if they are using Linux.
However suddenly the Web SDK says Chrome or Chromium browser is required to use audio, even on a webinar. Is this some kind of short term bug or have you just changed what you’re supporting without updating the documentation?
The Web SDK when using in Safari now says:
Your browser does not support using the computer’s Audio device. To use Zoom, install the latest version of a standard browser, such as Chrome or Edge Chromium.
