We have submitted a new zoom app for review after successfully validating our test and production domains. We have also enabled the app to be shared outside the account for beta testing in our prod environment. However, we are not receiving webhook events from zoom (recording.completed) in our prod domain, we always get it on the staging instance. Could you please let us know how we can enable these events for our prod environment?
Hi @gianni.zoom
Currently, we have withdrawn the app from review since the production functionality does not work. We are not able to get the functionality working on production because we aren’t receiving any webhooks. Zoom documentation says they will be testing apps submitted for review using production credentials, however it seems like webhooks to production endpoints are not enabled while the app is still in development.
Hi @gianni.zoom
Is there an update or a temporary workaround for this? This is a blocker for us since we cannot do beta testing on our prod instance. We have submitted the app for review but some functionality won’t work due to this issue.
The status of this app is “update needed”, and our logs show you added the recording completed event after they you added your app for review so the event subscription won’t work unless you re-authorize it.
Hi @gianni.zoom,
That is not true. We have always had the event subscription and that’s how we tested it with the development credentials. We had a couple of updates requested by the app review team which was unrelated to event subscription. The current status of the app is Function Review Complete. Reiterating the original issue, we are receiving the webhooks on the development endpoint but not production endpoint. Could you please verify this with your app review team since this issue has also been mentioned in the app release notes? This is a high priority issue since we can neither make any changes to app configuration nor beta test the app while it is still in review.
